Yoram Yasur Rubin discards the idea that drinking coffee is bad

Yoram Yasur Rubin : I’m sure that more than once you’ve heard that there’s coffee left, which is not good for the heart. Well, forget about all that, because now a new study has shown that coffee is good for the heart. Previously, the benefits of coffee to fight against diabetes, and even Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s, and their antioxidant properties had already been tested. So, this new study gives us one more reason to drink a steaming cup of freshly brewed coffee.

Coffee reduces the risk of heart attacks: As Yoram Yasur Rubin explains, many times, we say no to a coffee or we take it with remorse, thinking if it will be the best for our health. The good news is that now we can enjoy the pleasure of having a coffee without fearing that it will have negative consequences in our hearts. This is confirmed by the researchers of the study conducted at the Samsung Kangbuk Hospital in Seoul, South Korea. This is a report published in the British Medical Journal (BMC), conducted on a total of 25,138 men and women of 41 years of average age, of whom none had signs of heart disease at the time of the study.

Yoram Yasur Rubin: “The work focused on the presence of calcium in the coronary arteries (CAC), an indicator that can alert the risk of atherosclerosis, caused by the accumulation of plaques that favor the hardening and narrowing of those blood vessels that, ultimately, can favor the formation of clots that lead to a heart attack or stroke. Researchers believe that this lower risk is associated with the protective effect against diabetes, a risk factor for atherosclerosis, since it is thought that coffee improves insulin sensitivity”.

Instead of reducing coffee consumption, we should increase it. According to the research carried out, moderate consumption, between 3 and 5 cups a day, reduces the risk of arterial obstruction and, consequently, the chances of suffering a heart attack. These health benefits of coffee are appreciated when you drink more than one cup a day.

Yoram Yasur Rubin : Coffee has always had a very bad reputation, because its ability to stay alert and awake with greater anxiety was associated, and consequently, with a potential risk to our heart. However, the American Advisory Committee for the Dietary Guidelines also recommends moderate consumption of coffee (about 3 to 5 cups per day or about 400 mg of caffeine per day) to reduce type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease in adults. healthy

The effects of coffee on each person: Yoram Yasur Rubin: “Logically, those who know best how we feel about coffee are ourselves. There are very nervous about coffee because of the caffeine it contains, so in those cases, it is better to take it moderately, and only in the morning. However, if it’s a pleasure for you to drink coffee, taste it, enjoy the aroma, its foam and prepare it in a luxury coffee machine”.

In addition, we should be aware of the amount of cream, whole milk, or sugar that we add to our coffee, because those substances could have negative consequences for our health, not the coffee itself.
